As a Wyoming NR you are no longer allowed to shed hunt until 7 days after season opener for Residents and must have a Conservation Stamp.

My advice would be don’t just build the PP’s apply for a stellar unit like area 16, 100, or 1. You still have the random chance of drawing the tag, don’t just built up PP because there’s a chance you might pull that OIL tag on random.
When you cut tags from 25% allocation to 10% on the NR side with people who saved up 25+ years of PP for Sheep and Moose it seems directed. Now with 90/10 it’ll take those people until they’re died to draw the tag. Seems a little deceptive on Wyoming’s side of things. I believe they’re going to...
Wyoming is anti-Non Resident. They’ll switch to a 90/10 situation for Elk, Deer, and Pronghorn soon along with a Regular tag increase next year. Time to burn those points on the campfire and call it good imo. I’ll keep putting in and hopefully draw the random tag this year.
Before the “why the diaper on your face” comments. We’re taking disease samples from these critters and don’t want to contaminate the samples or the deer. We sterilize everything and all wild animals are handled via an approved protocol.
I enjoyed doing them until individuals on the forum called my job and complained about me shooting a bull elk in Wyoming. Not much fun when people online ruin your life because they have nothing better to do than call and curse out my boss and HR for hours. Bad apples spoil the bunch.
Hunt was awesome, if anybody wants info sometime message me. Did it for about $2,000 all in including tags and killed one with the bow. Missed a P&Y caribou too. Bugs weren’t bad at all.
Why not be accurate with your data and figure out actual age via tooth sampling areas/specific counties at a time? Sounds lazy because they could easily be doing more to gather better data.
Came on here just to comment on this because I knew someone would post it. This doesn't make any sense without baseline age data via tooth aging. You need total B&C score PLUS age data, so, main beam information doesn't make any sense. Here's one example from Tennessee (Page 5) "
