    .30-06 Rebuild

Thats just a pretty amazing story AZ. Its pretty cool when you can find something like that in life and it just makes a lot of things worth while. And I give you wife props for "letting" you follow your dreams, if even for such a simple life joy. Thanks for sharing.

    New Limbs?

I too, would purchase a new bow. I don't think it is a problem but I just don't like even a possibility of messing with the integrity of the bow as it was manufactured. Just my way of thinking.

    changing shotgun bead?

I too, have a remington 870. However, i'm not all that familiar with the tru glo. I assume you're talking about a scope? If thats the case, there are two pins on the side of the gun above the trigger area that can be taken out. You can then buy a scope mount/rail that mounts in those pin...

Do you still have a Buck Tag?

    Brute in downtown Clive!

Good Lord! You know....its legal to archery hunt private property as long as the projectile doesn't cross property lines. Not to meantion, don't they have an in city season?

    Know when to say when!

I have had a similar last 2 years. Last year i hunted hard in every season and only took one doe in shot gun season. I did the same thing this year with finally getting to take the 2nd week of November off. I was in the tree every day and saw lots of deer but like you said, only yearlings or...

    .62 Flintlock makes meat

Awesome job...not too many people will go out and challenge themselves like that anymore so i commend you for that. And you're right...that's meat in the freezer. Congrats.

    Red Dot Sights

My brother uses an eco tech and absolutely loves it. What I like about that one is that it has a few different settings. It has a dot, cross hairs and a dual purpose. Kind of a neat trait. I have never used any kind of scope myself but i am strongly considering putting one on my 870 this...

    Youth Tag?

Go to iowa DNR homepage. If you are hunting on your own property, I'm under the impression that they don't need either as long as they are with a legal adult. Correct me if i'm wrong. That's only on your own property.

    cornfields

I'm at a total loss right now...Every single field within a mile of where I hunt is still in. I know i'm in a good spot as i'm in the transition areas but all i'm seeing are small spike bucks or yearling does. Since the beginning of the season, i've only even seen one mature doe and she was...

    Friday The 13th Buck

Awesome job man. I too, have had a really rough year this year. Hunted everyday this week and nothing...But, like you said, all of the area fields are still in. But, there is still a lot of season left. Thanks for posting and congratulations.

    Gunna be a long night...

I don't want to deminish any hopes but you may have hit shoulder muscle. When its bright red like that, its oxygenated blood much like you might find in muscle. However, that being said, if you buried the arrow to the fletching, you got awesome penatration. Let us know. I to, think he'd...

    Quick Question

I was out in the fields today and saw a buck flat out chasing a doe. Made me want to be out there now. They are definitely moving athough its just starting. I think either would be a good choice.

    Typical 12 Video / 165" roughly

I'm gonna agree with sep0667. I think definitely 3.5 year old but only in the 150-155 range. Either way, he'd be awful hard to pass up.
