Hey guys, I'm going to be in south central Warren Co. for 1st season shotgun. I have read a couple different places that EHD got bad down there. I was wondering if anybody had any reports on the deer numbers from that immediate area?? Thanks

If a stand is left up after the allotted time, what happens to it? Does it become state property? Free for the taking? I could take you to 5-7 stands and sticks right now...

What would be the reasoning behind the bucks being less weary after they shed?? That might imply that the bucks know we are after them for their antlers? I think a buck acts like a buck with or without antlers. They are driven by food more than ever right now and that would be my vote getter for...

I don't mean to pi$$ anybody off. I truly am fine with hunting public land. I just dont see any issue with asking a land owner later in the season, other than the fact that they may say no. That's the risk I'm taking. Still looking for any insight into the Vinton area.

Well shotgun 2 doesn't start for a week and 4 days. And I can ask when I feel like it. If the land owner doesn't want to grant me permission, then that is fine with me. Always got public.

Thinking about hunting around the town of Vinton for shotgun season. Anybody hear anything about it? Good bad or ugly? Probably try to knock on a few doors or something.
