    Scent Control:

I approach it as a matter of the more you do the greater the reduction in chances of detection, although the return on the effort diminishes at each step. I tend to break it into 2 parts - 1) keeping scent out of their nose and 2) decreasing my overall scent profile. #1 is far more important...

    Accuracy Trouble.

Fellers - historically I have only been able to hunt the first week of November due to other fall commitments. I have finally reached the point where I can hunt before the rut and wanna hear what your favorite tactics are for putting down a slob in October. Thanks in advance for all replies!

thoughts on speed vs. Kinetic energy

Kinetic energy is useful in ballistics because tissue damage is inflicted by deposition of energy from the bullet. Broadheads, however, need to cut to kill, which is different from depositing energy. Therefore, they need momentum to carry them through the animal (which is the product of the...

    Playing the wind.

This is a fantastic looking spot. Assuming the field to the SE is feeding area, E or NE wind would be best for morning or evening hunts. Prolly could pull it off during mid day as well, although that would not be perfect (W or NW would be best at that time of day). What I really like is the...

    Mike Zadick :(

Innocent until proven guilty.- No kidding! Read the article people; totally one sided and speculative. Zadick is a taxidermist, which could easily explain some of the reported findings.
