Looking at ur property it'd be best to search the whole thing with a group of buddies. Gut shots can go along ways or if he feels safe he'll lay down and be dead by tomorrow. I'd bet u got some liver or another vital and he will be dead. Good luck.

Shot a nice 8 pt at 730. Got him found and on way to truck. Measure high 140s to 150s. He not a world record but ill take him

They are out there. We have been seeing rut activity last few days. Lots of chasing. Keep at it boys. They are close to lockdown I think. This weather isn't helping. Cold front will get em movin better for ya hopefully.

Shelby county area.

In the last hour had six bucks chasin does. All different bucks. One bruiser 10. 160" at least.

Seen two bucks searching fence rows in central ia this morning. Two bruisers. Was around Madrid ia. It must be firing up to see the big boys in daylight like that.

I'd agree about central Iowa. I hunt in Hardin county as well and have seen some decent action. Headed to Shelby county this weekend. And cass county. Southern warren county seems to be a little slow yet. Hopefully soon.

That sucks. I've lost a few good ones myself. My advice would be keep looking and watch for crows, vultures or any scavenger birds circling. I've taken my dogs out and looked and they've found em actually for me. U can't beat a dogs nose. Good luck.

Headed to western Iowa this weekend and was curious if the action was heating up for a good hunt. Any input would be great.
