    Im not sure if my cousins CVA has a conversion breech or not. He actually had his next load not fire at all . he cleaned his breech and then it worked. As for mine, yes I always fire a primer before loading and I always use a drill bit to clean out the breech and also use a torch head cleaning...

    More info. I was shooting 100 grains (by volume) of blackhorn hornady SST 250 grain bullet and a CCI 209 primer. Have shot this combo many times without a flaw. Gun stayed in a gun case in truck over night and never a long time in warm truck. Also have a small package of silica in the case...

    They may not be worth skinning this late in the year due to the fact that they are usually rubbed at the front shoulders. But if its not rubbed it maybe worth skinning. The pale furred ones are worth the most. You case skin them like a raccoon.
