I was at the gun show in Carter Lake yesterday, all the ARs price are over 1500 to 3000! There is a gun show in des moines on the 25-27th so you might will find one there.

thanks for the tips! I marked my push rod fired my first shot. wasnt too bad than I thought! lol broke my rod after 4 shots. It was getting too hard to push alittle more to the pellet. I dont have a "T" top to push the rod. done cleaned my muzzleloader. going to get a new rod tomorrow.

I never fired or load the muzzleloader before. would it be bad if I push the .50 caliber all way to pellets and accident crack or broke the pellets? what if the caliber is about a inch away from the pellet and its ok to fire?

after at how many shots that need to be cleaning. I thought 5 shots? its .50 cal. what kind of cleaning kit I need?

I just sat up the tree stand then went huntin right away, didnt see a deer for abt a hour later.

2 hours last night, had to leave early because my knees and hands were numb from windy chill! came unprepare. idiot. anyway, saw 2 does, 3 fawns, and a very young buck. not bad for my first day at the tree stand.. its good to be back!

that doesnt surprise me. tag on the ear. tagged or not it happened before in west iowa. Had one here near my hometown. The DNR had to shoot the elk. its nice to have deer or elk farm when you can collect the sheds!! lol

my buddy shot deer's far back with bow, found blood then trail went cold and didnt find him all over... thought he was still alive... about 4 months later his friend found his buck while he was farming.. whew! about a mile away from his tree stand! coyote will eat it but wont able to move the...
