Deer jump strings, branches deflect, nerves are strung high, bow clearance issues - many reasons that poor shots occur. Instead of passing judgement we should take it as a challenge to continue improving and honing our own skills and shot judgement process.

Outstanding buck. As a fellow recurve hunter I can appreciate the additional challenge that a recurve poses (i.e. when to draw, distance from animal, length of bow, etc). While I have killed does I have yet to connect with a buck. Congrats on your beautiful buck!

I have an opportunity to buy a Hoyt Rampage with sights, quiver, stabilizer and whisker rest for $220. Is this a good price. I know the Rampagw XT is a better bow but is there enough difference to justify spending another $3-400? Thoughts and recommendations appreciated!
