that is a good idea, it is well worth the money to know that they are warm and comfortable. As you know the suit only goes as small as a medium....so to make it work better we sewed straps on the inside of the suit on the legs so you can bunch up the excess clothing. That way your son can wear...

I just bought 2 of the HBS. My son who is 9 wore his the Saturday that it got down to 38 and the wind was blowing 20 mph. Also it was snowing to beat the band. For whoever payed the $370.00 for the HBS you got took. I might suggest trying Buck Hollow, I payed $269.00 for mine.
