I have a two row without fertilizer attachment. Is is somehow possible to spread starter fertilizer using the herbicide boxes and spreading it on the ground behind the row?

Has anybody experimented with Canamaize, or does it make more sense to plant regular seed corn? I'm not sure I can do a good job with a grain drill when it comes to planting corn, but I'm going to try it.
