1. Better, but I would say its because I am becomming more experienced. There are less deer in my area than in previous years
2. Im not a trophy hunter, but there were some pretty nice bucks taken out of my area this year, even better than last year.
3. I filled every tag. Also due to them eliminating the late season in my area, I had to squeeze my goal into 2 seasons (shotgun 2 and late muzzy) which meant getting one more deer per each season, which I did pretty easy. I got less meat than I needed mainly due to shooting smaller deer. There were still tags available in my area, however since there was no late season, I couldnt get deer up here. So I bought a tag for down south got one more deer to fill my freezer.
I shot a big doe on public ground. Based on the tracks in the snow, no other hunter had been there since shotgun season. Deer numbers were very high, much higher than previous years hunting that spot.
