Even in my off time I do not carry my handgun. I have co-workers who do "just in case", but I choose not to live that way.

But how will you protect yourself and your family from all the "assault weapons" out there? So your duty to protect and serve is only when your on the clock.

I carry and I would use it anytime to protect my family, myself, and other innocent people from the crazies. Like you said to each their own but some live by an oath.

For this bing hog wash on leading to ban on other guns look at the countries that have no guns and steps they went through.
