If you want to apply the 2nd amendment as originally intended to repel our own tyrannical govt you will be waiting probably the rest of your life, and for the entirety of your children's lives. The beauty of our Constitution is the fact it can be changed through amendment, as intended by the founders, to adjust to an ever morphing society and societal problems. The founders knew our country would face unforeseen problems and issues not comprehendable at the time the Constitution was written.

Does it matter if takes decades or centuries before we need to standup to a tyrannical government? If so it is our duty to standup for all gun rights so our descendants have that possibility to and not leave them empty handed. Something the founding fathers thought of aka the 2nd amendment.
