Agree with the guys above completely. That deer (or any game for that matter) deserves way more effort than kicking around the leaves and doing a quick look around. Last year I shot a smaller 10 point further back than I thought. I spent 2 DAYS crawling on the ground looking for specs, grid searching, looking around water, deep ravines, etc. because thats part of a hunter's responsibility in my opinion. Lots of lows and a few highs over those two days, but nothing like finding a deer after that much work. You simply owe it to the deer and yourself to get back out there if you consider yourself a hunter.
