Failing one course, no big deal, and I doubt the sheriff would care one bit either. Now, what if a student is failing to the point of flunking out of school and has seen their adviser and blames a certain prof or TA or maybe their roommate. What if your son or daughter is that roommate or TA? Still irrelevant? The sheriff shouldn't get to know that info because as Ted Nugent told Piers Morgan" it might hurt their feelings"? I'm a total supporter of gun rights but I have no problem with some personal info being given to a sheriff in this case. What info would be allowable and politically correct?

I realize this is splitting, but if that a failing grade comes amidst what was a 4.0 gpa. How upset will that student be the situation? Justifiably angry? Feel cheated maybe?Maybe we should have the sheriffs office interview friends, family members and employers. That way, nobody with poor social skills or the wrong personality will get a permit too. Maybe the sheriffs office should look at financial statements for the last 10 years as well, we wouldn't to arm a potential bank robber either. And while we're at it, are you divorced? Do you own your home?
where are you gonna draw the line once you've started this process?
Keep in the, the road to hell is paved with good intentions
Basically, no the sheriff does NOT get to see my school records. :thrwrck:
wait here it is again:thrwrck:
what the school does get to do though is be sure all their students know where to get help if they need it and how to recognize WHEN they may need it. And that its ok to ask for that help.

For the record my throwing virtual rocks in no way condones or supports the actaul event of throwing real rocks.
Thanks for reading
