You can use the youth tag for any of the gun seasons until it is filled.
So lets say my brother doesn't get one youth, we can then go during early muzzy.
If he doesn't get one then, we can go 1st shotgun, then 2nd, then late muzzy.
So until that tag is filled, the youth can hunt any of the gun seasons.
For choice of weapon, besides youth (which you can use bow, shotgun or muzzy), you must adhere to what is allowed during that gun season. So early and late muzzy, you can use a muzzy or bow. For shotgun 1 and 2, you can use a shotgun or a muzzy.
One other thing you can't do is use the youth tag to party hunt during shotgun. The youth has to harvest the animal themselves, no one else can use their tag.
