Tactics for stopping or nailing poachers….

I have some dumby cams set out on a permission piece that there's been some issues. Ive been the only one with permission for 10+ years. Couple of times tree stands have popped up. I asked the landowner about it and confirmed I was the only one. I played nice and put a note on them explaining who I was with name/# etc. When they didnt get taken down after a while the landowner said I could take them, so I did. Ive also set up old/nonoperable trail cams in spots they would be easily seen to help deter. Since then I've not seen evidence of anyone in there.

I totally support the use of these though some feel it is too tempting and is entrapment. Take their vehicle, their weapons and impose a stiff fine.
This would stop a lot of poachers for sure. Gotta run them consistently and get every last one of them. 180” rack worth your gun and truck go for it!
