It’s not as simple as go fix your state. I’m from PA, and like Hardwoods state, PA legislators don’t care about some topics. Hunting is one of them.
Iowa is mostly a rural state with only 3 million people and no major cities. Most legislators have rural value experience; the term Iowa Nice is rooted there.
PA for example has 13 million people, racial diversity, two big cities, with many legislators having zero outdoor experience or care about it. Demographics, values and priorities changed, it’s not PA from1955.
IMO state population, demographics (Iowa is mostly white), and associated values, or lack there of, drive legislation. The best thing I did was move to Iowa, but telling others to go fix your state is too simplistic.
