Anyone paid attention to this in farm bill

Yes. I am really involved with a government affairs team in the conservation space. We had a meeting with our guy in DC and he said it will not advance to a House floor vote as worded in the amendment. It's gotten a lot of attention from the dog training world.
 
Just as stupid as opening the Boundary Waters to a foreign mining Co so they can put in a copper mine. I think it was all but 4 GOP voted for it. It’s becoming more & more apparent that the Republicans don’t have our same conservation interests in mind or they just plain don’t understand it. When the bill was open for comment something like 650k respondents (80%) representing both sides were against it. With that kind of push back your not voting for what the people want.

I don't see how there won't be a big blue shift come November. Look at the trajectory of IA over the last 10 years of red supermajority...look at Trump's first half of this term...incredibly disappointing on almost all fronts. At least the fronts that I cast a vote for, that he ran on.

I sure hope not !! … Trump has certainly had a mixed first year and 4 months. The Iran war is not popular with many Americans. However, it’s looking like a success, & after he took out Maduro and fixed Venezuela … I have to say , no President has the guts like him. That was one of the best strategic moves in US history!

I’ll agree that Democrats will have a better election than in 2024 when they got wiped out in biggest RED wave ever !

The economy is looking better for late 2026 & of course we have a record stock market.
 
What Trump is doing in Iran is 45 years overdue. They are the biggest state sponsor of terror, they’ve attacked American interests around the world, threatened America, threatened to kill our sitting President, and killed 30k to 50k of their own people for having voice. That’s for starters.

You have to sacrifice a little for long term safety, security and success. Trump is easily the best President of my lifetime.

For those that don’t like Trump. Choose any political or business endeavor. I’ll partner with Trump, haters can have Biden, Obama and Clinton as your advisors. Trump will come out on top every time. He gets things done.

I voted for Trump. I'm critical of Trump. 45 was solid, 47 is trash. Something changed. The "what about Obama, Biden, Clinton" is getting old guys. He should've stopped at Venezuela. The jury is still way out on Iran but I hope you're right @Hardwood11 and in 6mo-1 year we can call it an actual success.
 
You can criticize him all you want. Nobody does it all correctly. Intent is what matters. Sometimes the vehicle used to accomplish a task needs tweaked, but he puts America first as it should be.

Obama, Biden and Clinton were complete jokes that pandered to the woke left, the woke media and our enemies. It’s not old talking about it, it’s a mistake not to remember to ensure the same mistakes aren’t repeated. It’s called paying attention to history much like your Roosevelt quote.

That said he’s the best President in my lifetime. Wish he could run for a third term. I’d vote for him again.

By some metrics, sure. Border has been night and day improvement. If he actually escapes this Iran quagmire and actually goes after Epstein class pedos, I'll revisit my criticisms.

I follow the economy on most days…. A lot of fear mongering dudes predicted a huge drop in the stock market, a recession, $150/barrel oil for a long time …

It’s not over yet, but we have increased manufacturing, solid wage growth,record investment in the US, record stock market (all time high) & interest rates will probably drop in the next 2-4 months .

If that happens we may see 4-5% GDP growth? The economy will be rocking . I added a few comments this on the investment site (Seeking Alpha) & a bunch of liberals … “no way, it’s bad, Trump sucks… we will drop 60%… Im scared…blah blah blah. :rolleyes:

Those guys are hiding today ! The NASDAQ has been up 13 days in a row ! That has not happened in 17 years…

Who gives a F**k about Epstein? I mean, how does whatever is in the files affect any of us personally? Was he a dirtbag? Yes! But he’s been taking a dirt nap for years now and continuing talking about him and his ilk is a waste of time, period end of story!!

Its not about Epstein. Its about what went on, particularly under aged minors. The fact Trump (and Biden) have not released the files tells me with absolute certainty that one of two things is true. They partook, or had people they want to protect were partaking. No other explanation.

Agreed that they should be released and by not releasing continues to give conspiracy theorists, right or wrong, an argument. But those supporting Biden and criticizing Trump for the same level of action on Epstein are grasping for straws. At least now we are working on economy, terrorism, immigration and putting the US first rather than DEI, pronouns and “changing” minors with government funding.
