What would make my alfalfa turn white in spots

Bet u it’s frost/freeze damage

Hopefully when you say damage that means it is nothing to worry about ?

Look and see if the roots r severed.
Would b caused by freezing ground pushing up and that is what pulls the roots apart.

Looks like frost damage. Also notice the flea beetle damage too. Often the frost "sweetens" the foliage and attracts the beetles.

Should I treat for flea beetle? If so what should I use ?

Probably frost but have you done a soil test lately

I should be getting results back any day. I applied lime in January per last soil sample result.

The damage seems to be getting worse? It is nowhere near as green as last yr. My ph is still low I know but do you think it’s still frost damage or flea beetle ? Here are a few pictures
