we picked up a few new leases that have cows on them through the end of the summer. I’m a little hesitant of going in there and setting up some cameras and then having them destroy them. Anyone with experience with that and if the cows mess with cameras much? Also, have you seen them mess with ladder stands as well I may wait to put those up though.

I'd find out when the cows are removed. I'd be there the day after hanging cameras.

Another option would be hanging them higher, I've done that on occasion. I've had cows rub on cameras to the point of destruction but other times leave them alone.
Just hang them 6'+ and angle down. Best practice with cell cams anyway.....
You just get those genius mounts for those CuddeLink cameras they work well a little higher up pointed down? I know usually those Cuddelinks like to be set lower. I thought I saw that you were running those and we bought some from you last year.

If you switch out the frensel (sp?) Cuddeback lenses you will get great performance even at a higher angle. And yes, I use the genius mounts. Be sure to get the newer version with the locking screw so the weight of the camera doesn't move the mount over time.

Trail Cam Pro has a great tree mount.
Yes those genius mounts are awesome. For other cameras simply use sticks of various sizes jammed behind camera.

When I was younger I put several cams in a timbered pasture I had access to. I was even dumb enough to have a mineral block in front of it…. Really enjoyed all the cow pics. They never bothered my cameras much tho. Even when my neighbor’s cows get out now they’ve never messed with the cams too much. It’s kinda weird because cows tend to mess with everything but I’ve never had a problem with trail cams at least. I probably would set them high and angle them down just in case tho.
