Generally removing hickory as they are shade tolerant and out compete oaks shutting down regen. Any tree is cover so thats a positive. But hickory only provides squirrel food and very little timber value. Usually bought as pallet or mats if big enough

I think it would be very manageable to spot spray if you went dozer route. Prefer a dozer with a ripper that can drop that down and rip lingering roots out as well.

I plant alot of Seckel and Barlett. Both do really well. Barlett is earlier dropper but is a great producer. Seckel is later.

No. They show up later in the season. But only at one location. Strange....

I did nearly that same thing 20 years ago in Michigan. Became a racoon and predator hwy but I couldn't get deer to use it. Curious your results.

Agree! IMOX is great IF and only if sprayed early. Complaints come from folks spraying later when weeds are larger. Not too affective then.
