    What are the deer eating????

My guess would be primarily acorns and then maybe corn & I’m seeing good activity in a small clover plot that sits in low ground & is pretty green.

Neonicotinoids insecticide & deer health- causing big problems???

This is spot on. If he’s really big, assume EVERYONE within a square mile or more knows, has the same photos or videos. If he’s living on you or real close, don’t wait. Assume people will come literally out of the woodwork, knocking on doors in your neighborhood if they can to get a crack at...

    Mobile irrigation rigs

It’s very hard to move enough water with a tote and a trash pump. I’m looking at clearing a field on the lowest ground I have and buying a drill and planting more drought resistant plants. Clover has been hopeless for me the last 3 years with August and September droughts that run nearly to the...

    ZTR recommendations

Zero turn mowers can flip over. If you know anyone that is using one without the ROPS or not using the ROPS, please talk to them. Mowing around ponds is inherently and especially dangerous. I apologize if I am preaching to the choir. Looks like there are some better options…

    Clover

Do you just leave the rye or terminate at some point? I threw some rye into some grazing alfalfa that didn’t do much for a year. With the rye and more fertilizer it REALLY took off…interesting…

Tactics for stopping or nailing poachers….

Bucks seem to cover an awful lot of ground in the breeding season. Apart from screening your personal property, my thought would be to encourage as many neighbors as possible to help patrol. Thank you for sharing your experiences on this topic. I’m absolutely convinced poaching is a FAR worse...

    New switchgrass

Speaking of packing, when the ground is dry my ATV pull behind cultipacker does compress fully into the soil, it rides on the ribs. Do the CAT 1 & 3 pt hitch style fully compress to the flats easily? If so, I’m interested.

    New switchgrass

Would broadcast & cultipack yield results as good as drilling right now. Spray roundup before seeding?
