I have 50+ Caragana & they are cold tolerant, fast grower. I don’t know if it has much wildlife value ? If you are looking for “strictly” cover, they usually survive … If you can get weed mat — it’s much less of a weed issue.

Is this in South Dakota? My only suggestion is to change out Caragana? I’d go Plum or Chokecherry… I guess it depends on your goals ?
