But you didn’t catch them doing it so how do you know it’s a thermal? Could be ir, could be a spotlight, could be headlights, could be a regular scope with a full moon.

If you use the right caliber and right bullet you won’t have enough damage to make a difference. Most people put bigger holes in them skinning them than they do shooting them.

Just remember some counties in Iowa are closed to bobcat harvest. Others have a 1 bobcat limit while there’s some with 3 limit and only 3 per person per year. You also have to get your bobcats tagged by a DNR officer within 7 days.
