    Early Ice Browns

In Saskatchewan we have five stocked trout species (rainbow, brown, brook, splake, tiger) and native lake trout. This is the first winter that I've caught them all.

    Best Alfalfa Variety For Deer

Check your fertility and you might find out why the deer don't find the alfalfa palatable. Alfalfa needs lots of calcium, phos and sulfur.

    Meat Locker lost my Antlers

Jeez Louise, why so complicated? Here the tag has three parts. Hide, head, meat. Once separated they are canceled. Notch out the date on each and affix it to the appropriate part of the deer. Simple. Here you would never leave the rack of a deer I was thinking of getting mounted at the...

    High grading bucks

These kinds of discussions are always interesting. I'd say 50% don't care what they kill as long as it has antlers. 40% will hold out for the big rack (for most it's anything over 140) regardless of age. 8% want age with a big rack. And 2% are focused solely on age. Of course no data to back...

    Tough Girl

Looks like just hit the backstraps. Good title, sums it up. Pictures like that are inspiring, makes you wonder what you could overcome if you had to.

    Cold Feet

Ya, if it's a circulation problem you're going to have to use a heat source. If you're in a box blind use a buddy heater, just don't melt the soles of your boots. If you're in a snowbank, you're going to want heated socks or insoles.
