Looks like a bunch of work!!! Skin and quarter to get it out of the woods? I've heard even the small ones are like dragging a bag of jello. That one isn't getting drug out.

    What is your very first

Just looked Wrist Rocket to see if they still sell them and they do. Here's the "legal" paragraph from their website:Wrist Rocket regs check’em out Some states, cities, or local ordinances restrict the use of slingshots, slingshot ammo, and slingshot supplies. These ordinances can change, so...

Giant Deer of Iowa are rapidly becoming a past memory

Yeah, and late mz the deer, depending on the weather, might be desperate for hitting a food plot.

Giant Deer of Iowa are rapidly becoming a past memory

You’d think the deer would have learned the first time. [emoji2957] Agree that some want all deer dead. I’m seeing some local rebound in numbers from people slacking off the does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    What is your very first

I had a “Wrist rocket” slingshot and so did my best friend. We got into a fair amount of trouble with those.don’t think I ever killed anything with it. Used rocks, marbles and .44 lead round balls as ammo. Hit a blackbird sitting on a power line throwing a rock but he opened his wings and flew...

Bought a Crosman pump pellet gun to shoot bullfrogs with my brother-in-law mid '70's.

    What is your very first

Got my first BB gun at 5, shot some sparrows with it. Dad would take me and a friend to a clandestine dump at a gravel road intersection to shoot our .22's, shot a few rats while plinking at cans. I don't remember my first "game" animal, bet it was a pheasant with a .410 at 13. Dad would...

    Rut Action/Movement Reports

Crawled in a stand in another county an hour before sunrise today. I was hoping for maybe a more mature buck than the ones I saw yesterday. 9:30 was the only deer sighted, a 1.5 year old buck. Heading home at 11 am, a 2.5 year old tall 8 pt runs across the blacktop in front of me...

    Rut Action/Movement Reports

Crazy 2.5 hours as the sun came up, but nothing over 2.5 years old. Saw almost 30 deer, then it went DEAD. Had two FAT coons walk under me and when they were at the base of my tree I said out loud "Well aren't you a couple of fatsos." They acted like I wasn't even there. My stand...

    Rut Action/Movement Reports

Getting ready to turn into the drive at 8:30, had a doe with twin fawns cross the road. Couple hundred yards farther, buck crossed the road. Walking in, had two does cross an open field, buck not far behind. I’ve seen two does from stand so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rut Action/Movement Reports

Past two mornings there have been buck/doe pairs out in the harvested corn field. Today was a 1.5 yr old buck, yesterdays was a 2.5 yr old with a right towering G2, might be somebody someday. Climb back in the stand tomorrow thru Nov 30.
