Things looked like it’s busting open on the drive home from work. Saw a mature buck cross the road but wasn’t much legal shooting time left. Saw some small buck/doe pairs out in harvested fields.

I've had a couple of instances where people wanted to grid search during the rut while I'm hunting. If you don't have a blood trail to follow, the law does not apply, IMO.
I pulled a card from a cam this morning after a hunt, hung a stand there yesterday. The cam was hung 9/21. Memory card was full 11/5. If I'd have looked at the card previously I would not have hunted there. :oops: Now I know.
Carried a hang on in this afternoon, hung it on an oak on a ridge, saw large acorns on the ground. Scanning around from the tree, saw I set up on a scrape line. Doe came in just before dark and started eating acorns. I’ll be back in the tree for sunrise tomorrow.

I had a neighbor do the exact same thing. I didn't call them on it figuring to keep things neighborly. The ground sold this past year and I don't know the new owners. Need to walk the fences again.
