High fence opinion in specific example???….

Who is it saving money for? Remember when there was a call to cull the deer herd because of deer/car collision damage? Tons of antlerless tags available. We shot them back into the '70's in regard to population. Did your car insurance premiums go down? So the FB and the car insurance lobby...

Silver and gold - physical, or mining stocks?

The quote above from Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan, is probably hinting at buying stock in those companies that produce arms/ammunitions for war. As to precious metals, my view is that you better have physical possession of them as it is a hedge against when SHTF and the dollar collapses. Even...

Silver and gold - physical, or mining stocks?

Just read a news article and had to chuckle. Here is the passage: “You see a lot of things out there, the amount of uncertainty and I put geopolitics in that category, fiscal spending in that category, politics in that category, the re-militarization of the world in that category. All these...

Silver and gold - physical, or mining stocks?

In junior high, our history teacher played a stock market game where he "gave" everybody $1,000 to invest in stocks for 6 weeks. Most bought a blend or blue-chip stocks. One kid, not known for his intelligence, invested all in a "penny stock" that fluctuated greatly and he won the competition...

Neonicotinoids insecticide & deer health- causing big problems???

How long did it take to discover DDT was a problem and how long before we recovered from the damage done? Excerpt from a Wiki page, FWIW: "Opposition to DDT was focused by the 1962 publication of Rachel Carson's book Silent Spring. It talked about environmental impacts that correlated with the...

Hemp isn't worth much. Could maybe extract and concentrate the THC and make a seltzer to sell in Iowa, doing an end around of the law. ;)

    Purple paint law

Minnesota has purple paint or used to. I’m red/green colorblind yet purple stands out. Trespassers most likely ignore signs and paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Apples and oaks

Pulled the cards and the place is rocking. Lots of sparring going on, grass is flattened. I thought this guy looked like he's been rubbing a concrete wall.

Corn Plot - Mow or Knock Down?

Years ago (decades) I got chastised for running down a corn food plot within CRP. I used a snowmobile. They weren't happy.

    floating landowner turkey tags

Haven't bought a fall tag in years. Don't care to mess with them while focusing on deer.

    floating landowner turkey tags

No idea. Where is a fall tag going to "float" to as there is only one fall season, right?

    That’s some poaching…. Wow

Probably distanced themselves, knew nothing firsthand to avoid culpability. I've seen shady leases here in Iowa get busted and the landowner probably didn't know or maybe didn't care. Cash is king.
