For those establishing perennial clover in the fall with rye, don't be suprised if you don't "see" any clover in the fall. It's there, just takes until the following spring to take off. Add another layer at frost seed timing, and stand back!

100# - 125# is about right IMO, more than you'd think.. Even a "wall" of rye leaves a nice shaded clover patch underneath. Better start with weed control, it's almost cheating. Can also leave and let it dry down if you want. Just leaves more to deal with later.

Preach! Just mowed the pollinating rye a week ago and.. boom. clover galore.

Why not use granular AMS Fertilizer? Much more stable than coated urea. Works in well with warm temps. Agree with others, liquid UAN will have leaf burn.

Agreed.. Hinge cuts are overrated, and destructive for habitat. Also terrible for long term timber value. Logging, Select Cuts, Clear Cuts or TSI are all much better choices, and very wildlife friendly depending on your timber stage. Get benefit of wildlife use while maintaining long term...

Burn it as soon as you can. Then go back and disc it. Will set it back some. Bonus, you'll get a flush of native forbs as well..

He would or would not add lime? Buffer pH is high compared to your tested pH, which tells me you have lower buffering capacity - IE: Adding lime will move the needle. Conversely, if your buffer pH is close to your tested pH (high buffering capacity), it would take a lot more lime to adjust...
