I too was considering iron clay cowpeas this yr. I'm going to plant sorghum and peas in alternating rows in my drill around outside of my soybean plots this yr let the peas vine up the sorghum figure it can't hurt and see how the deer use them.

Odds are good even if you cut it won't thicken up . Walnuts give off a acidic toxin that only some species will tolerate so you might have to replant something buy hand to make it happen . Others on here will be more specific.

Mine is the rough cut mower with half inch flat heavy blades for brush just wondering is the pull behind finish mower would be better? My new farm im planning on 3 . 1 acre clover plots so lil more but not worth a 10ft batwing mower

Any one have a pull behind mower that works good for clover? I've got a 4ft pull behind brush mower and it works but leaves a wind row of chaff to one side that smothers out the clover. Im looking for something with its own engine mounted on to pull with utv . Thanks guys

Took a ride this morning looking for coyotes and came across a 145 ish 9 pt and a 2 yr old 8pt dogging a doe all over the older buck just wouldn't leave her watched them quite awhile all over several fields and into a ditch. 3rd round of estrous cycle I guess.

This corresponds to a pet peeve of mine!! Seeing all the u tube land managers say 5 acres is all you need??? I think min to hunt and realistically have a decent chance of not running onto the neighbors every yr is 20 acres and should be for lot tags also!

Cut it to 2 tags yr in iowa limit doe harvest where needed and no non residents for 2 yrs and see how heard responds!

Ok so many thinking 1 buck is the answer? How many would sell a pc of there larger farms and buy a pc in another state to be able to hunt more? Why should I as a resident have to leave my state to shoot another buck in another state when we let people from those states come and shoot our states...
Yes we did and he confirmed that this was the deer and he showed us the mark on deer where he nicked it was all healed up.

Some won't like this idea but what about 2 tags max even landowners 1 floating and closed to non-residents for a yr or 2? What pct. Of non residence harvest at least 1 buck or more ? They have a super high buck vs doe harvest ratio and would save how many bucks a yr??
