I've seen it both ways. One buck will carry it for a few years and another buck may only have it for one year and never again.

The biggest problem I see is the increase in hunters that shoot bucks based on inches. Your biggest 2-3 year olds just aren't surviving in the numbers that they used to while bucks that will never surpass 130" are getting the pass.

In my home state of MO. It would save a fair portion of bucks prior to the rifle opener if guys don't get the " do over" of another tag for rifle. I bet the size of the bucks shot pre-rifle would jump considerably.
