It worked well in PA. Years ago, we were only allowed one deer per hunter, either a buck or a doe! That strategy didn't help the buck to doe ratio at all, and everyone was shooting mostly 1 1/2-year-old buck. Since the one buck and plenty of doe tags as well as the antler restrictions...

I used to shoot the XX75 2216 for years, loved those shafts. I shot them with recurves, longbow and compound and still have some. I'll have to see how many I have yet.

Nice buck and an exciting hunt for sure! I've only ever took one frontal shot on a big doe, it did a number on her plowing the turf for 20 yards and done. Been there done that, cold muscles and old age make it tuff to draw a 65# bow for me :(

Mature bucks are locked down for a few days now and I've not seen anything but young buck. I did notice a doe or two that were back with their fawns. Took my wife out for dinner last night and there was a big buck locked up on a doe almost in town. Time to hunt mid-day to catch mature buck...
