I've heard the same thing. The outfitters shot all the bucks and when that dried up, the moved to other areas. It's actually getting less pressure and the bucks are rebounding now.

I think a lot of the Southern Iowa counties are the hardest hunted counties. When you have the most hunters, that means more young, good genetic bucks get shot. I almost think if someone is really after a giant, then they need to hunt a less known and less popular county. A prime example of this...

That buck he killed definitely needs to be looked into a little closer. Maybe someone on here, or a friend of a friend will recognize that buck from their farm.

One tweak I think should be looked at is the section size..Most of the sections are divided into approx 40 acre squares. Some are 39.7 or 39.1..you would hate for someone to miss a LOT just because their section was just under 40.. maybe make it 39 instead if 40. Also, some will say 40 acres...

Young...They are really taking a risk with all the cell cams and some landowners may give them more than they want if caught on the property.

We pressed charges against 3 guys a couple weeks ago. They stole sheds and SD cards. Thanks to a neighbor we got them.
