It’s solid here in Minnesota. I can’t find properties to sell . If it’s nice it sells fast . Farm land is above average, but it depends on quality ! Marginal farms have leveled off. Small 5-20 acre parcels that are buildable … hot market ! Lakeshore is strong !

That’s a tough one when it’s used for grazing ? I would say hunt the rut—bucks seem to push does & search for does in open pasture. Otherwise I can’t relate to grazing and hunting in the same yr…

This is from an acorn (we think it’s Bur Oak hybrid) . In MN .

If I have issues with a tube on a very nice oak I have cut the tube back a foot …then I cage that tube & oak. Seems to really pop after that . Case by case situation.

It’s strange there’s a lot of drown out, hail etc… but it’s dry in many parts of the nation. The USDA still thinks it will be a good crop ? I guess we will see ?

My experience with CRP farms and I’m sure several guys on here can relate… Big bucks like to rut in CRP! Maybe trying to pin a doe out away from other bucks, searching….all the above . Early November is a magnet for bucks . Cold days are just fun! Not always the easiest to hunt though...

If you had Amish in your area, you could possibly cut those and have them milled? If you have storage as they dry ? It’d be such a waste to see them die off … I’m planning on doing that in Minnesota.

It depends on the program.. I have some filter strips, & smaller 5 to 6 acres blocks of native grasses. I’ve done a lot of field windbreaks, & riparian buffer (trees) over the years. It’s a 15 yr plans and all the trees are basically paid for. If you plant them yourself, you make $$ on the cost...

Do they respond to calls ? This one is in a small area surrounded by crop . The den is there too ? I don’t even know what the rule on hunting or trapping is in Minnesota. I’d have to check .

Iowa GDP per capita was ranked #21 by several websites. It’s a flat out “fake news” that Iowa is ranked #50 overall.

So here’s an interesting comparison… AI this report … 7th & 18th & 25th ranking for Iowa’s economic rank for growth, opportunity & affordability. Now look in the bottom corner and the Iowa Democrats say it ranks 50th ?? Hmm.. a little fake news by the Dems.
