Good deal. Guy who hunts in my blind shot an older buck, other than that they all walked. The old buck was definitely on his way down, but was the biggest he'd ever killed. Saw a lot of nice three to five year olds that are nice, time will tell next year.

These aren't farmers who are just starting out buying this land, usually. Most farms anymore are on the larger side and getting the chance to add more land doesn't come along very often and if it's close to their other property, yes they'll pay more and not afraid of the payment.

I have to agree with stoney, get a smokeless if you want to shoot out to 400 yards. I don't think the straight wall cartridges that are legal would be a very good option for that long of range.

Most of the time you'll see the deer but will be hard to be in the right place to shoot them. If you know the deer are there, I think the two of you are better off finding a food source and wait for them to come to you.

I don't hunt public and hunt sw part of the state, but I see less hunters out and about first season than I use to. I know several who use to hunt 1st went to second due to the extra days.

Been seeing a few over the last ten years around the eastern Pot county along HWY 92.

Not bow hunting but I use to hunt a place on the tracks that had the only culvert that would hardly ever freeze. Every night the deer would make their way to the water then go feed.

Looks to be a very large farm with lots of timber and 7 different food plots that look pretty big. The pic is a funnel area to food plots. Hard to say what the neighbors property looks like, but they mixed beans and corn into their food plots which will attract a lot of deer in the winter.

Time after time getting to the red zone without scoring touchdowns is hard to beat anyone.

It's the shooting into your property across the fence is where you can get them if you can catch them on video. Don't know of a CW or Sheriff that wouldn't pursue this. As far as them just shooting around the perimeter, like said earlier it looks like you have the only deer sanctuary around...

Maybe have someone walk the perimeter of your property the same time the other group is there and take a video? I'd make it know to them if they're just shooting their guns at nothing while on video, while you're hunting, that can be considered hunter's harassment. Had a guy who would ride...
