    Good luck in 1st "shotgun"

Good luck to everyone and stay safe. I won't be out until 2nd season but get to hunt with my daughter, so looking forward to that.

    Deer #’s down statewide???

I probably should not have been surprised, but was anyway, at the level of ignorance in so many of the replies to your Facebook post.

    Deer #’s down statewide???

My numbers are up 30-40% in SE Iowa, but that may have more to do with some habitat improvement the last couple years. I have talked to a friend on the opposite side of the county that has found six or more EHD kills this fall.

    Crossbow broadheads different?

It should not matter. the xbow is probably shooting higher fps so any lack of tuning or non straight broadhead will exagerate the error. I've never had an Xbox so have no idea how to tune one.

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

With it being no till that should just help close up slits. It won't be like compacting tilled soil.

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

I bought the G3 from Meyer above. I haven't planted with it yet but my JD 3038 lifts and hauls it fine with some weight in the bucket. I would expect your 39hp would be fine also.

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

Yes. Virtually the same. Paul H., who worked at Genesis (and maybe even designed the drills) bought out that portion of the business from genesis and now the name is PH. Just some minor changes.

    2024 Buck - 7.5 years in the making…..

World class! All of it...from the time you put in on research and developing property to having the patience (insanity) to pass a 200" deer.

Checking cameras and replacing batteries now

I wouldn't go in. I'm very much into keeping things as sanctuary like as I can though. I have been using cuddylink the last few years to avoid having to pull any cards (other than from the home camera). Something went wrong with the network a few weeks ago and I didn't even gather them up...

    LOT During Early Muzzleloader Season

If I'm correct above, can I take my bow and muzzleloader to the stand during muzzy season?

    LOT During Early Muzzleloader Season

Do I read the new regs correctly? I can buy my landowner tag Oct 1 then use it for archery, both muzzloader and both shotgun seasons...unless I fill it of course.

    "Lesser Expensive" No-Till Drills???

Don't beat me up here! I don't have the funds for the good no till drills, nor the size tractor to pick them up (I want a 3 point due to small plots and access). Has anyone had luck with Kasco Versa or Tar River Saya no-till drills? These run $4000 - $6,000. I only plant about 4 acres of...

    Shout Out to IW(SKIP) & Midwest Hab.(Rob)

For some context, my farm is 120 acres of mostly timber. 60 acres river bottom and 60 "high" ground with a big ravine through it. So, almost all cover with 2 food plots (4 acres total) and no ag land near by. I thought I had all the cover I needed. - TSI in 2 big areas for more bedding and...
