I know that sometimes getting a new breachplug helps as well I personally like Barnes 250 grain ballistic tips myself they are very accurate expensive though
In 1999 I built a feeder in my backyard and would go to the coop once a month and get a truck load of corn for it. We would be able to watch deer , turkeys, squirrels, pheasants, and birds all winter really enjoyed it but when corn started getting more expensive I quit doing it really miss it...
Lets also remember that this land has to feed people for the next hundreds of years (hopefully 2012 is just around the corner) but some guys continue to just rape it. I am by no means against farming or putting a buck in your pocket but I am against goverment subsidies when crops are at record...
I like it when they take the waterways out then tile them and then when you get big rains you can see in the ditches all that precious black dirt laying there or how about the guys that farm right up next to the river banks and just think as taxpayers we fund all of it
I agree with you on the subsidies 100% but when corn hits $7 a bushel it doesn't take long to pay off a few hours of dozing and some tiling no matter how poor the soil is farming is the only occupation where the government guarantees you will make it
One thing I didn't put on the original post was that it seemed that the last week of October seemed to be really good this year a few of my friends tagged out on some really nice deer that last week and the few times I got out I saw a little bit of activity including a deer that I saw twice that...
Drury Outdoors put a post on Facebook asking people to rate this years rut from 1 to 10. One being the worst and ten being the best and to give the dates that you saw the best movement.I thought it would be neat to do it here. I would say for me the 8th was probably the best day for activity for...
Man if your happy with him shoot him. Anymore people put to high of expectation on themselves. From what I can tell from the pic he looks to be mature but probably not score very high hard to tell from that pic though
I have two of those same ladders. No matter how much of a pain in the rear they are a guy should always wear a linesman belt when messing with stands glad you are ok
