My neighbor is a semi-retired professor at the University of Minnesota Veterinary School. Some of his friends are working directly with studying this.
For those interested, here's a very good book that documents the history of prion diseases.
"Deadly Feasts"
I know a guy who raises deer and cut the antlers off of one of his larger bucks. It was cut right above the base. The bases didn't shed as they normally would and the following spring it grew a rack that has a similar look. The new antlers shot up and around the old base. After those antlers...
My wife has done a couple, she put onions and garlic and it and not only was there no smell, but a guy could find himself getting hungry. Then if you have access to someone at a beauty shop you can buy 40 percent peroxide and a tub of powdered bleach. Mix the two together until they're about...
I've got just one question for you people that are completely anti-crossbow for anyone during the archery season.
Why do we hear so much anti-crossbow talk and absolutely no anti-early muzzleloader talk? Iowa basically allows single shot hi-powered rifles hunt for 16 days during the middle of...
arrow flinger,
Nice buck, I think he owes you another look next year.
What type of camcorder are you using? I assume digital but which model? How are you moving video frames to your PC? I've been looking into doing this myself and would like all input I can get.
CamoMan,
I can see both arguments, although it seems extremely unlikely the second picture happened at the same time all the points on the right side lined up. It would probably be easier to decide if you posted your pictures before you cropped them. Don't suppose your camera was set up to...
John V,
Last year I hunted over rye that had been planted in late August. It resembled a recently seeded yard (very sparse and thin growth). The deer were all over it, actually walked past standing corn to get to it. I also talked to someone that planted rye in the middle of his corn field...
RIFLEMANZ
I checked their web site for blinds and didn't see the Wigwam. Do you know if it's online?

I'm with chilkoot charlie, the double bull is the best I've used. I have the A frame model and it does go up as quickly as the video. The material is tight and doesn't make noise in the wind. The material is also water resistant cloth so it has a matt finish. The Ameristep is somewhat...
I spent 2 hours Wednesday night at a meeting with one of Minnesota's top researchers. He reinforced my feelings about CWD. The hype our media is pushing is absolutely without fact. The headlines are driven more by making money than being informative. There's no proven link between CWD and...
I had the trail camera set on a 15sec delay and was lucky enough to catch two pictures of him where he didn't move his feet, just his head and upper body. Then I edited the picture to create one animated .gif. Ask the ol' man about his ideas on which end of the camera goes up.
NWBUCK
I would stay out of there completely. I think you would be crazy to go in there at all. The only chance I would take in the early season, is if you would happen to know any female non-residents with an archery buck tag.
