It's amazing the patience my girls have when it comes down to crunch time. Ol dad gets worked up like a top knowing that so many things can go wrong trying to help a youth score a turkey. Pure emotion when the gun goes bang and turkey laying on the ground. I sound like a idiot in the videos.

Both my kids filled their youth tags this year! We were not expecting much on this hunt. It was a local Wednesday evening hunt and wind was howling. She hadn't got her turn to hunt yet so we went anyway. After dinking around trying to decide where to hunt we finally got set up at 520pm. So...

We were finally able to make it out yesterday morning after all the Easter shenanigans from the weekend. We were greeted by oodles of roost gobbles while setting up...something my daughter had never heard before. None were very close however but I had high hopes being in the middle of them...

First time hunting anything my 10yo daughter gets a longbeard 2 hrs into the hunt. Quite the show, we had two toms come in to the decoys to 15 yds struttting and gobbleing. Watching my daughter kill her first turkey trumps every hunting experience I've ever had. One great memory for her and I.
