Professional Land Surveyor - Marshalltown, I get to set landowners straight on what they own. It can be very interesting, as people get quite possessive of what they "think" they own.
I too would be opposed to ANY increase in non-resdident permits. I was also wondering if you can take this poll and put it in a form that the users of the site could respond to these questions by cheking the boxes, it would be interesting to tally the results.
This has probably been covered before but I got sick of searching for it. What are your suggestions for good QDM books, or books concerning food plots?
Shredder...You make a very good point, I have made a mental note not to respond with a "this will be the last time..."
Limb... We do plan to hunt all 3 gun seasons in some way, shape or form. Time to start some QDM and harvesting some does.
LIV4RUT... Thankfully we don't have any rental or...
A little different angle...Myself and a friend recently purchased some land together. The previous owner let anyone and their brother hunt, especially during the shotgun seasons. My question is does anyonehave any good advice or first hand experience on how to handle these hunters when they...
What do they say, "hind-sight is 20-20".
Tru-Ball is sending me a knew trigger, hopefully I will have it today and get it replaced tonight. I just hope I don't make matters worse when I take the release apart.
Does anyone know if you can replace the trigger mechanism on a tru-ball release? I snagged mine on a tree step and broke it off about half-way down the trigger. Thanks for the input.
Anybody know a web site where you could download pictures or other information that would help less experienced hunters to better determine the age of a buck, before it is on the ground. I am trying to get the group I hunt with to become more selective in the bucks that harvested. Thanks in...
Thanks again, I tried that link again and got it to work. I assume for their study that timber/hay ground would be considered low quality, even though that's not the way we may view it. Is $1000/Ac. in southeast Iowa to much to pay?
Just wondering if anyone has been tracking the price of timber/recreational land in Iowa. Have prices been up, down, or steady. What are people paying? I have lost track over the last year or so.
Swanny, You might need to try a little harder. I'm pretty sure the 360ac. I referred to sold to someone from Michigan or Wisconsin. Better luck in the future.
Nonres. , I got overly excited when you said you were going to allow one Iowan to hunt your land . You deserve much praise...That will...
What part of NY do you hunt in? I grew up in Otsego County in the Southern Tier. Is all the snow going to hurt the population? I was thinking of coming home to hunt this year.
What happened to Nonres., did one of the locals find him looking at potential hunting areas or is he just sitting back keeping quiet about where he bought his land? Im guessing 360 Ac in Wapello County.
I happened to hear the last few minutes of the sportsman's show on WHO(radio)1040. They were talking about the increase in non-res. hunting licenses. Did anyone else here this, and were they supporting the increase or against it? To me it sounded like they were supporting the Farm Bureau, which...
O.K. , we are one month into the season, the rut is starting to kick in not one story or rumor of this buck, what is the deal? Has anyone got any new info or is everyone just sick of this topic?
