    NE. Feral Cat Study

I fail to see how trapping, neutering, and releasing can be even remotely as cost effective as killing kitties. How much does a .22 lr round cost? I know we cant turn people loose with rifles in town, but I say shoot em on sight. My neighbors girlfriend about came unglued when I said that, so...

    Weird Kansas Buck

I recall a tv program couple of years ago in which they filmed a deer with a rack squatting to urinate. It looked rather doeish also. This deer could be a hermaphrodite too.

    Sneak-a-buck

Friend of mine arrowed this buck on Sunday. He does a lot of spot and stalk hunts and is getting pretty good at it, as you can see! He and his wife spotted this buck courting does in a field not far from their home in Grundy co, IA. Eventually it laid down in a fence row and Brett went to work...

    This year's rut

I can say this year has been the most enjoyable time in the trees yet. Rattling was a sure thing. "If you rattle they will come" my cousin said. From Oct 12 thru Nov 15 they responded well, then it just stopped. I havent seen any bucks chasing since then. Then last night a friend called and...

Getting into a morning and evening pattern here. Dragged estrous scent yesterday and small 8 walked right over it, looked around and walked off, uninterested. Looks like winter pattern set in.

Whitetails the way of the pheasants

Apples to oranges. The public areas I hunt hold an abundance of deer, despite a lot of it being over hunted. Ive only had one hunt this year in which I saw no deer. Travel 15 miles to my acreage and I have only seen 1 deer in the 7 years ive lived here (in the middle of 1st season shotgun). I...
