I agree there are way more leases than people may think. I know we have one and in our area if you don't own it or are willing to lease it you better just look elsewhere to hunt. Its sad but thats the direction our sport is heading or already to i guess.
Alot of gobbling on the roost in NE iowa and then kinda shut up for awhile. Our best hunting has been from noon til 4 seems they have been losing the hens and looking. Been answering calls very well and coming in.
Worst part is they are taking more snow and ice for middle of the week. Sibley is a mess we have taken 16 full trees down at the course and are only maybe half done cutting and piling will be weeks before we have it all cleaned up and hauled away.
Sounds like a dead deer to me. One I shot on oct 6th was back of lungs and we jumped him next morning and I found him dead that afternoon. Ended up shot clipped back of both lungs and he survived a day. Amazing animals. Keep after it you will find him!
Thanks for posting KG. Lots of trail cam pics from him over the summer. Never seen him til this year so really no history with him. All the hard work putting in those clover and alfalfa food plots pays off in early season! 17 points and grossed 165
