I think it's all falling into........no where to hunt. Everyone with big money is buying 500 acres here. 1000 acres there. Old farmers are getting money waved in front of their faces and can't say no. Traditions are getting replaced by $$$$ because people think...the more acres...the better...

Hard decision. My favorite time is around Halloween. Last Monday I drove from Southeast Iowa (Fort Madison) to Up past Cedar Falls and seen several bucks in fields bedded down with a doe. A few of them were nice mature deer. I can't count how many big bucks I've seen dead along side the road...

I was working out of town and didn't get home until later this afternoon. Started walking to the stand at 5. Way too late. Got to the stand at 515 and scared off a bunch of deer. 15 minutes later I had deer all around me. Had 2 little bucks fighting in front of me in the picked corn. Right...

Way to go. If you didn't get it done the first night you probably wouldn't of seen a nice buck the rest of the week. Usually how it goes.
