    Age Guesses

I thought that also, but I was also looking at his whole body, rear and belly especially.

    Age Guesses

Checked the trail cams the other day for this first time in about a month. Man have the deer been moving between October 20th-November 5th. Had TONS of pictures. Anyways. Just quick guess on the age of these two guys. I'm guessing the first one is 3-3.5 and the other one is 5.5+ which is whom...

    A warning about the Rut.

Lol he was a pretty good guy. Just seemed excited about the deer movement

    A warning about the Rut.

Last night I was driving home from Maryville, Mo, and I was passing through taylor county on highway 2. As I went around a curve I could see flashing lights up in the distance. So as I came closer I slowed down, and returned my cruise control on as I passed by. Immediatley once I did that I...

    How many bucks?

As far as the travel corridors go, I think I have identified 3 major funnels into the property. One of which is where the pond ends/creek begins, and the other located on a creek coming from the local lake. Third happens to be located where the west timber ends and goes into a draw into the...

    How many bucks?

I do have a good size creek that flows through the timber which my main stands are on and overlooking, with heavy food sources to the south. Another decent sized creek on the adjacent side of the property that seperates a heavy timber, with food sources to the north, south and east. What isn't...

What do we think Kitty Cat or Mt Lion?

Definatley a young lion. You can watch closely and see how its front shoulders move with its body. The long tail especially gives it away.

    How many bucks?

Well, I know I do have an abundant doe population, and it looks to be increasing while I was doing some scouting this evening, due to the neighboring corn fields being out and public ground not far away being hunted hard by pheasant hunters. Was just curious on this topic! Gonna be doing alot...

    How many bucks?

Sorry let me rephrase my question. During a normal period, not the rut and not during the dead of winter with low pressure searching for a food source. Lets say spring or early summer. Not asking the question for a specific reason, was just curious how many mature bucks I could expect to...

    Great Morning

Great picture BDAHMS. Some people really do forget or don't even realize how amazing mother nature can be. One of my favorite things things to do is sit in the treestand and watch as the timber comes alive with wildlife. Except for squirrels...taking my air rifle with me to the stand next time...

    How many bucks?

Last night I was organizing my trail cam pics by bucks that I see on a regular basis, putting them in files for future reference of potential shooters and to watch growth for the years to come. I began to wonder how many bucks one property can hold. Now, I know what must be brought into...

    2014 Regular Tag Buck

Congratulations man! Thats one nice buck. I will agree with you on the fat part of when you shot him. My buck had a ton of fat on the arrow and when I was cleaning him I probably could have filled a 5 gallon bucket twice if I had wanted to. Again though great deer!

Tommorow mornings hunt, newbie to filming

I usually take my backpack with me so packing everything in that wasn't to big of a deal. But I do imagine If I end up liking it and it is something that I want to start doing more, and invest in higher quality "stuff" that it will be more of a hassle to get everything to the stand and setup.

Tommorow mornings hunt, newbie to filming

Well, had some issues on with the ground blind this morning (since I'm not anywhere close to being setup to film in a tree) so I did not get a chance to film. Had my buddy (second time bowhunting) do what he could in the ground blind and I sat about 20 yards away in a brush pile. About 715...

Tommorow mornings hunt, newbie to filming

Tommorow morning I will be going out with a friend of mine to try to fill a tag. Ive decided to bring along my video camera, since I probably won't be shooting. Always had a fascination with watching Hunting videos, so I figured I'd try to make my own! Gonna try to do this from a ground blind...
