    Clover Prices:

I'm not sure what the pricewas, but your price is always lower when purchased in bulk. 50 1# bags cost more then 1 bag for 50#'s and it takes a lot more time to fill 50 bags then it does 1.

    Youth Season Age Requirements?

Both my 5 yr old son and 7 yr old daughter harvested does this year for their first deer. They would sit between my legs, I placed the barrel on a shooting stick and the stock in my shoulder. They reached underneath the stock, lined up the sites and pulled the trigger, both successfully. I had...

    Looking to buy trailcam....

I carry the Moultrie line and would be happy to help you. I currently have the I-40 ($195) and the I-60 ($285). These are infrared and I've had great success with them. The ebay deals tend to be better, but if you have a problem with it, you also tend to be stuck. PM me if I can be of any...

    SugarBeets

I know many of you have asked about Sugarbeets, so if you have not put all your fall plots in as of yet, they now have them available at Scheels in West Des Moines. I was able get a limited quantity and I figured the best way to make them available was to have Scheels get it on the shelf. They...

    Stealthcam mishap

You may want to check to see how upgradable your camera is. Some of those stealths only upgrade to 526mb. If you put a 1gig in, you will get the format error.

Thoughts on QDM (Quality Deer Management) in Iowa?????????????

The mid-iowa branch that Chris mentioned above will also be starting a website over the next 6-8 months. I sit on the board of the mid-iowa branch and I would agree, it would be nice to have a forum for us to bounce ideas off of. Especially the new chapters, in any state, I would love to share...

    Trefoil

I'd agree with dbletree, I don't think it's trefoil. trefoil usually doesn't get that high. My initial guess would be a version of sweet clover. Mow it down and you should be fine. If it ends up being trefoil, that's really not a bad thing. Trefoil is a solid food source for deer and attracts a...

Nonresident Landowners, check out this website.

Re: Nonresident Landowners, check out this website Many of you have asked what QDMA's stance is on this situation. The Mid Iowa Chapter reached out to corporate earlier this week and received a response late yesterday. QDMA has reached out to FOI and informed them that they need to remove...

Nonresident Landowners, check out this website.

Re: Nonresident Landowners, check out this website The QDMA Pres. of our Mid Iowa Chapter did reach out to FOI today to share our discontent with them and how they have unprofessionally put QDMA into their marketing. Realistically QDMA should have no part of this battle, but FOI pulled us in...

    QDMA Plot Day

Equipment demos, is noted. We were hoping to do more of that, but that is really a seminar all on its own, but would be worth putting on if people would like to see it. Wet ground prevented us from bringing some of the equipment even in, so hopefully mother nature will be better to us next time.

    Rotary Tiller?

Correct, the first time through there I used the KK tiller. You'd be shocked to know I did not break a single tine.

Nonresident Landowners, check out this website.

Re: Nonresident Landowners, check out this website At Plot Day this last weekend our Chapter President addressed this as best as we can. The Mid Iowa Chapter has taken a stance that we support the laws as they stand. Our Regional QDMA Director was on-site and concurred with us why things should...

    QDMA Plot Day

I want to thank those of you that made it out. We had to modify the agenda due to the water issues, but over all it was a good day and felt it was a good event. Those of you that weren't able to make it, please send me some insight on what you would like to see out of this QDMA Chapter. We're...

    Rotary Tiller?

I use a 60" King Kutter Gear Driven that I purchased at TSC. I'm really not sure what it would take to break this thing, I've really ran it through the ringer the last few years and it just keeps on going.
