    ND State Record Buck

Are there any leaks as to the whereabouts this was taken? I grew up in ND and I've never seen or heard of anyone seeing deer like this in the 20yrs I've hunted out there.

    ATV Row Planter

Hey guys thanks for the input. It's pretty much what I expected and is why I did not bring them into IA last year. It sounds like the right product is out there at the right price, so I'll continue to work on it and try get it here for the Deer Classic in March 08.

    ATV Row Planter

I have a good relationship with a business out of Wisconsin that is coming out with an ATV pull behind 2 row planter. The mechanics are the old yetter 71's. Taking price out of the equation for now, my questions is what kind of interest would you guys have for a product like this?

    Doe to Buck picture ratio??

Not to repeat everyone else, but the bucks are moving separately from does. We currently are running several trail cam studies on various properties. We purposely put some cameras where we feel the major bucks are traveling through and the rest in major corridors of heavy trails. Checking the...

First Food Plot...... the hard way

You mention your open to suggestions. Plotmaster or King Kutter, my back hurts just looking at that. You'll do just fine with turnips. You should do a soil sample to play it safe, but turnips do well in average ph soil.

    How late to mow clover/chickory?

If conditions are in your favor, we always mow the middle part of Sept. Keep your chicory at 6-8inches, that leaves them that nice juicy stem to chomp on

    Poast Plus application rate?

Another option out there is a product called Volunteer, I get it at Crossroads Ag in Adel. Same as Poast Plus. It comes in 1 gallon jug and is $182. I know, thats a lot, but only requires 6oz an acre. Big price tag upfront, but if your spraying many acres it comes out about $4 cheaper an acre...

This is just an early heads up as something more formal will be posted. Mid-Iowa QDMA Chapter was formed earlier this year and we will be holding a Golf Outing/Banquet on August 20th at the 5X80 Golf and Country Club in Menlo, IA. It's just a 9 hole outing so we will tee off at 3:00pm, Dinner at...

New at Food Plots ?'s (Pics Added)

Re: New at Food Plots ?'s If time and roundup are not an issue, you may want to consider a double kill. You can apply your roundup now, but once you turn that soil, hang on to your hat because that field does not look like it's been touched for years. You will be exposing more seed to the sun...

    Minnesota Bear

My brother and I were drawn this year. Luck I guess, first time we've applied and as a group. We have a farmer that we've done some consulting for in the past that is going to do our baiting and give us private land to hunt on. Apparently they are nuisance to him. Zone 44, we're looking forward...

    Future of plots?

Don't forget to take advantage of the fact that you have a legume planted. You can maintain legumes with proper mowing and spraying, which will combat any grass issues coming up in your clovers. I would agree, follow this up with a good brassica mix. The heavy forage and fast maturity usually...

I have a customer base in that area. The best way to reach me is via cell 515 554 6639. With enough notice I could work you into that rotation pretty easily.

    2007 Custom Rates

I had a few people ask about what we charge so I thought I'd put some numbers out there. I started doing things in ranges simply because of the variabilities in ground cover. I'm tickled to go into a previous corn or soybean field and in most cases charge $40-$60/acre plus seed. The variable is...
