Been raining here ALL day my plots are loving it. But I need to still get some mowing done so I can kill some brome and try to get a few acres of rye in. Wish I could have seeded it last weekend.

    Fence Laws

Re: Fences. Far as I now that is how it goes, don't know if it is law or not. My dad has put fence on 3 sides of his 200 acres over the years and never had a cow. Even had to pay for some dozing to put some fence in a couple years ago.

    Acorn ?

I was going to try and get more oak trees going at the farm by just planting acorns randomly in the undesirable tree areas. Not sure how it will work but its worth a shot. I have found quite a few acorns laying around already but they are a little green yet, will they still be alright to plant...

The company i work for is going to lock us out

Hold strong, they can't replace all of you at once. I'm not hardcore Union but I believe in fair wages and benefits. Our contract is up next year so I'm hoping for the best. Good luck! Sheet Metal Workers LU91

http://www.bushhog.com/ContentFiles/Documents/Specs/RC278.pdf I think you might be a little under powered for an 8 footer, and probabley too light. The 10ft on the back of my dads 4040 can get a little light in the hills.

    Too late to plant???

I'd just throw some rye in it for now and then just frost seed your clover later. Then you would have a good winter plot too. It's worked well for me.

I was kind of thinking that if that showed up on my trail camera, I wouldn't post any pics until they were harvest photos. Nice buck though for sure.
