    Stopping TRESSPASSERS! Frustration!

xsnrg, the group hunters left my buddies ground alone, it's the late season bowhunter that we are having trouble with. Took down two more stands today, I'll bet I get more before the end of the weekend.

WOW, that last shoot looks like they are tiny fighter jets. How can they fit their kahunas in those suits?

    Stopping TRESSPASSERS! Frustration!

I am a firm believer that no matter what you do, some people will tresspass. I just picked up a brand new climber stand that someone left in my buddy's timber Sunday. Also found three other ladder stands that don't belong, will get those this week. I have no idea how to stop people from being...

    Stinkin' DOGS!!!!!! Question!?!?

If you catch a fox or a bobcat in a trap, how are you going to release it? I don't think they will understand that you only want to let it go. And remember, a fox will chew off his own leg to get away, don't think a bobcat will. I understand not wanting to ruin a hunt by shooting a dog, but it's...

    "Cull deer"

IMO, A cull deer should be a mature buck with unwanted traits, such as small body size or small rack size. You can’t tell that until the deer has reached maturely. Calling a small, young buck a cull deer is for the shooter to feel good, not for a better herd. I don't have that big of an issue...

    Stinkin' DOGS!!!!!! Question!?!?

I carry my 22-250 alot right now looking for a brown and white "coyote". That thing walked up to a friend and his young son (in a stand) during 1st gun season and growled at them. He (the dog) walked away and came back an hour later chasing three does. My friend didn't know if he could/should...

Would you support an antlerless only season?

I go buck-less sometimes anyway as I buck hunt late muzz and sometimes simply don't see any shooter bucks. I would have no prolem with a doe only year. I think it would be easier for the DNR to limit everyone to one buck only.

Christmas foiled by another hunter, dang it

You might want to look at the 20ga with "managed recoil" slugs. That's what my daughter is shooting, all 75lbs of her.

    Top 5 public lands?

Re: Public Land Advise Almost every county has public land that is hard to get to and sees less pressure because of it. I would suggest you narrow your area down first, and then start doing your homework. The DNR website has links to some good info that would be as good a place as any to start.

    Iowa Whitetail Outfitter

I don't know about drawing for a muzz tag, but early muzz is good (Oct 11-19). I perfer late muzz (Dec 22-Jan10), not many people in the timber then, but bucks are a little harder to come by. I would not recomend shotgun seasons (even though I shotgun), read some of the other post on here and...

    300" in Ohio

I could be wrong, but that guy doesn't look like the "typical" high fence hunter. Looks more like high power out the window hunter.
