I am a huge believing of sitka gear and after a recent experience with their customer service team I will continue to wear the brand for a long time. Great quality. Great athletic fit. Outstanding customer service.
Watched 2 bucks tend to does for over an hour last night. I ended up taking the bigger of the two (about 145inch 10 pointer). I learned more during that one hour than I have in the past 3. It was a great day.
Question for anyone with experience...
I am going out for a long afternoon/ evening sit on Friday and have the opportunity to take a decoy. I will be hunting a pinch point tree stand next to a open field.
Since I have never used a decoy for deer just looking for a life advice. Is it worth...
I sat yesterday morning. Didn't see any thing with bone on its head but did see 3 mature does and 3 yearlings. I need up shooting the largest of the does...loins will be great as I watch football tonight.
I use First Lite merino wool base layer and love it. Its wool so it isn't cheap but is great stuff. I go cheap on a lot of hinting equipment but clothing is an area I buy quality...nothing worse that being miserable during a long stand sit.
Looking for recommendations. I am in desperate need of a warm mid layer vest while sitting in the stand. I know sitka makes a great vest but I don't want to sell my bow in order to afford it. Any recommendations?
Action has been pretty slow here in the past few days. With that said I will be out tomorrow night. I'd say go for it. I slow night in the woods is better than most nights at home (IMO). Shoot straight.
